Remove the “recycle” bucket in each employees cube and instead, have common, large, recycle bins conveniently located. This would reduce a) the need for such bins b) free up cubicle space and c) reduce the work for the cleaning person.
We could do the same with the trash, though for hygienic reasons that may need “automatic” garbage bins such as this one: http://www.amazon.com/iTouchless-Deodorizer-Touch-Free-13-Gallon-Stainless-Steel/dp/B000EJVYTS.
(Suggest that this initiative is optional, i.e., only those employees that wanted to get rid of their personal trash/recycle bins need do so. Those that don’t want to do this shouldn’t be forced to)
